It's AK Beer Week and we've kick-started the 10-day schedule on FRI JAN 13 by debuting ANCHORAGE Ice Bock, the last beer in our 2011 World Tour series, and tapping into a firkin of Sockeye Red IPA , dry-hopped with citrusy Meridian hops. We're really rolling NoW. Today SAT JAN 14 includes SugarSpoon cupcake+beer pairings (11 AM - 8 PM) , Anchorage Book Swap (1-5 PM), The Better Beer Show with Kathy Phillips (3-5 PM), Rage City Roller Girls (7 PM), and Panty Peeler Strip Show at Mad Myrna's. Yeah, Scott Clendaniel presented an incredible series of art called "99 Beers on the Wall", which consisted of 99 oil paintings of beer bottles, cans and glasses. This December and January we welcome Scott's NEW show up in the Loft. Beginning FRI JAN 13 for the duration of AK Beer Week, Scott is hosting a SILENT ART AUCTION. We've hung mini clip boards up on the walls next to the pieces that are included in this auction. Place your bids througout the week. MOSCOW is the sixth beer in our 2011 World Tour series to be released. It is currently on the By-The-Glass board up in the Loft and available in 22's at MSBC and around Anchorage. Created from a very high percentage of rye and dark malts, Moscow is a hefty, opaque black liquid that pours slowly but with purpose. A creamy, dreamy tan head is the perfect contrast for the roasty, chewy sludge in your glass. Slip into your jammies and slide onto your couch. Now sit back and savor the decadent mouthfeel, aroma, flavor and finish of Moscow Rye Russian Imperial Stout. 2011 World Tour tees will be available in JAN. Termination Dust on the Chugach Mountains signals the beginning of winter 'round here. With TD comes the return of our perennial "holiday season" festivity-starter (and keeper-on'er), CoHoHo Imperial IPA. After a long hoT-@$$ summer (what?! where?!), it’s time to bring the party inside. And our winter warlock--CoHoHo--welcomes everyone back to the table. Every SAT | SUN from 11 AM to 3 PM, we add some BRUNCH items to our regular menu. The Huevos Rancheros feature a spicy green sauce and an earthy red sauce, topped with two farm-fresh eggs. The HANDWICH starts with toasted sourdough muffins, topped with thick-cut pepper bacon, arugula, fried eggs and our cilantro-chili dressing. Two 'wiches per order. Need a hangover CuRE? Try our house-made beer-braised corned beef HASH, topped with Chef Scott's spicy green chili sauce and two fried eggs. Is it SAT yet?
