Hey Seekers of Rare Vintage BeeR:

This weekend LIQUID SOLUTIONS is hosting an online auction of some very special and rare vintage beers. The auction started on FRI 5/9 at 3 PM PT and ends on SUN 5/11 at 3 PM PT. (Well, each lot closes at 5-minute intervals, beginning at 3 PM.) The eXciting part is that the first lot FF01 is 4 MSBC beers: "M" oak-aged Belgian-style Barley Wine (released in MAY 2005); Conspiracy Belgian-style Black Beer (released in APR 2007); Berserker oak-aged Imperial Stout (released in JAN 2007) and Arctic Devil Barley Wine (released in NOV 2007). This may be your only chance eVer to get "M" - our 1000th batch, brewed in AUG 2004, aged in American oak bourbon barrels, then bottled and released on our 10th anniversary in MAY 2005. It is oH-so fabulous. I was lucky enough to enjoy some M at a beer dinner earlier this year. Wowsie WoWsa! Check out the AUCTION and/or BLOGSPOT before closing on SUN. Proceeds benefit the Parkinson Foundation in honor of beer writer/advocate Michael Jackson.

Pre-releasing EARTH at TapRoot Cafe on THU was very apropos. Such a great venue for feeling One Love with reggae band, Seeds of Blessing. Check them out on myspace.com/seedsofblessing. Check out TapRoot Cafe at myspace.com/taprootcafe...or better yet, just get over there for a Schooby Dooby chicken sandwich with mozarella + bacon or a fabulouso BuRGeR to accompany a completely wonderful beer. Most beers on the menu are LoCaL (as in AK brewed).

We had a BiG FRI at the brewery with the release of EARTH. Cafe Amsterdam tapped into a keg of EARTH on FRI as well.

Cafe Amsterdam BeeRtender WiLL served up a glass of EARTH with a dusting of cocoa sprinkled on top for MSBC Sales Manager Matt. U know U want some.

We HiT our 13-Year mark on Cinco de MaYo. From MAY 1 to MAY 13, we are offering a 13% Case Discount on FuLL CaSes--straight or miXed. HURRY! Come stock up before the tourists ransack our CooLer.

In preparing for next week's BiG GuNs: two Imperial Stouts--Berserker [brewed in 2006] and Sloth [brewed in early 2007], we sampled AleSmith's Speedway Stout [2005] and Three Floyd's Dark Lord [most recent release]. yiKes! I believe both of these beers were on beeradvocate's Alstrom bros' Top Beers list in DEC 2007. [I can't find my copy at the moment to verify this.] Pretty sure Dark Lord is listed #1. If you know and love these beers, do NOT miss our Berserker and SLOTH on FRI 5/16; you will NoT be disappointed. These two BiGGies hit the taps at 5 PM.

The next Planet Beer MERCURY Belgian-style Small Beer will be pre-released at The Anchor Pub & Club on THU 06/05/08 @ 7 PM and released at MSBC on FRI 06/06/08. We may be pouring MARS, EARTH and MERCURY at another downtown venue on FIRST FRI 06/06/08 as well. Details are forthcoming...
