Hey Seekers of Transitional-Snow-Blowing-to-Lawn-Mowing Beers:

This week join us on THU at TapRoot Cafe [on Huffman Rd] for our EARTH pre-release party. EARTH begins flowin' at 7 PM then Seeds of Blessing, a funk/reggae band, starts groovin' at 8 PM. No CoVeR.

On FRI get on over to the brewery to grab your hunky chunk of chocolate milk stout [i.e. EARTH] in bottles, growlers and kegs.

We HiT our 13-Year Mark yesterday on Cinco de MaYo. From MAY 1 to MAY 13, we are offering a 13% Case Discount on FuLL CaSes--straight or miXed. HURRY! Come stock up before the tourists ransack our CooLer.

A couple dozen folks came out to show and enjoy PRIDE in MSBC.
[Sorry...I chopped off the folks on the ends, including Prez Mark. Oops! I was up on a ladder in wedge sandals and couldn't human-ZooM back beyond this with crashing and/or spilling.]

Next week MSBC is bringing out the BiG GuNs on FRI 5/16: two Imperial Stouts--Berserker [brewed in 2006] and Sloth [brewed in early 2007]. These two beers are oak-aged and completely wonderful. The diff is in the yeasts, one is Belgian and the other is NoT. WARNING: if you are easily offended, do NOT click on the CLERKS link for it takes you to Utube, which shows the part of the Clerks movie in which Olaf sings the Berserker song...and, really, it's NoT for everyone. [Mom, I'm talking to you specifically right now.] The song is big, bad and irreverent...but it so inspired a BiG beer of like.

I just noticed that all of our MAY beers--except for Old Whiskers Hefeweizen--are dark. We don't want to let go of WiNTeR, do we? EARTH, the two Imperial Stouts, then the 13th anniversary Belgian-style brown ale have all got sum CoLoR. Even MERCURY--to be released in early JUN--is dark amber. Maybe I will have a Meltdown! Let's hope we are not forecasting our summer weather but, instead, providing some yin beer for a yang summer.

So see ya on THU at the 'rooT and/or FRI at MSBC. No eXcuses...you don't got LaWn 'til The White fades to green. This I know. And stop chipping away at that ice in your driveway/yard/sidewalk/whatever. Who are U people? It too will go away. Trust me on this. And, hey, since I freed up yer next few evenings and weekends, you can buy me a BeeR next time I see ya...out and about Anchor-town.
